Employees of the Ege University of Turkey began teaching at ADAU

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and the Ege University of Turkey, within the framework of the «State Programme for Enhancing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023», approved by Presidential Decree of 16 November 2018, from 2020/2021 academic year on, learning on «agronomy», «plant protection», «agro-engineering» and «economy» is carried out on the basis of a double program with the Ege University.

According to the program, a group of teachers from the Ege University came to the Agricultural University to teach in specialities.

The Rector of the University, a corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov informed teachers about the international relations of the University, dual diploma programs and the modern logistics base. It was noted that peer education would make an important contribution to the development of agriculture in the country in the future. Experts then arrived at the site of great destruction in Ganja, where a large number of civilians were killed, wounded and killed as a result of Armenian terror last October. It was reported that the Armenian armed forces deliberately targeted the civilian population of Azerbaijan in violation of the rules and principles of international law, the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols, as well as the requirements of the humanitarian ceasefire agreed in Moscow for the end of the 44-day war by shelling populated areas with heavy artillery.

As a result of rocket attacks, 26 civilians, including women and children, were killed and 142 injured in Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan, with a population of half a million, located more than 100 kilometres from the conflict zone. Civilian infrastructure, historical and cultural monuments, as well as motor vehicles, were badly damaged in the city.

In tribute to the memory of the civilian victims, the guests laid flowers to the residential house destroyed by Armenian terror.
