Representatives of the Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project (ACIP) and the World Bank visited the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU).
The purpose of the visit was to exchange views on the implementation and results of the projects implemented in the Agricultural University within the framework of the Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project (ACIP), jointly implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and the World Bank.
The meeting was attended by Anar Asimov, Project Director of the Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project (ACIP), Azer Sardarli, Project Manager, Rufiz Chiragzade, World Bank Operations Manager, Sarah Michael, World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan, and Zaur Rzayev, public relations expert of the World Bank.
The Rector of the University, a corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov expressed satisfaction with the implemented projects and discussed prospects for further cooperation and new projects.
Sarah Michael, country manager of the World Bank for Azerbaijan, said that she is positive about new projects and future cooperation.
Then guests visited the Experimental Animal Breeding Complex, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Museum of Pathological Anatomy and the modern educational building.
There was a meeting with students and faculty-professors of the university in the specialty «Plant Protection» and the exchange of results of the study program in the specialty «Plant Protection», determined with the support of the project.
